The Official Canada Green Card Program
11. I have a B.A in English or French language; do I still need the Language Proficiency test in French or English?
Citizenship and Immigration Canada strongly recommend that you take an official language test unless the English or French is your native language.
You must prove your ability to speak, listen, read and write Canada's official language(s) (depending where you live). You must provide written proof and explanation that clearly shows you meet the benchmark criteria listed in the Canadian Language Benchmarks in each of the aforementioned four skills.
NOTE:
CIC officers will not conduct an interview to assess your language skills.
CIC will only use test results from organizations approved by CIC in assigning language points.
You Must
Indicate what level of language proficiency you are claiming for each skill (speaking, listening, reading and writing).
Submit, with your application for immigration, a written explanation and supporting documentation as proof of the levels you have indicated.
This material should include:
A written submission explaining your training in either English or French;
An explanation of how you commonly use English or French;
Official documentation of your education in English or French; and
Official documentation of your work experience in English or French.
What Happens Next
Your submission must satisfy the officer. Therefore, your language skills must meet the benchmarks for the levels you are claiming.
The officer will award points for your language ability based on what you send with your application.
You will not know in advance how many points the CIC officer will give you for your language skills
12. How long do I have to send all the documents?
You have 90 days to send all your documents. If you fail to send your documents within this period, your file will be closed. In the case you’re missing minor documents, you must apply for an extension, and it is up to the Canada Green Card committee to decide on whether to accept the extension and provide an additional 3 days.
13. What are the requirements to be part of the Canada Green Card program?
Canada Green Card wants to make sure that the randomly selected candidates are qualified to immigrate to Canada. For that reason, an official evaluation made by CIH Canadian Immigration House is required in order to become an active subscriber in Canada Green Card.
14. How do I get my official evaluation to become active in Canada Green Card?
To proceed with the official evaluation of your file, CIH requires a payment of 100$ for the evaluation of all your documents. Qualified applicants will automatically become active in Canada Green Card.
CIH is the largest immigration licensed consultants firm in Canada.
The Canadian Immigration Financial Assistance, is non governmental, non-
